Problem Note 49566: The SAS® Stored Process web application does not support right-to-left languages

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

Prior to SAS® 9.4, the SAS Stored Process web application does not support the use of right-to-left (RTL) languages in the stored-process prompt pages.

Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.

This hot fix provides support for RTL languages in the SAS Stored Process web-application prompt pages through the use of a new initialization parameter: RTL.SupportedLocales.

This parameter specifies a comma-delimited list of locales that should be displayed right to left. Use this initialization parameter to enable the SAS Stored Process web application to display RTL languages correctly. For SAS 9.4, this behavior is supported only by the SAS Stored Process Web Application prompt page.

After you apply the hot fix, you can enable the RTL.SupportedLocales initialization parameter by adding it from SAS® Management Console, as follows:

  1. From the Plug-ins tab, select Application Management ► Configuration Manager ► SAS Application Infrastructure.
  2. Right-click the Stored Process Web App 9.3 node and select Properties.
  3. In the Properties dialog box, click the Advanced tab. On this tab, click Add and enter the following information:
    • Property Name: RTL.SupportedLocales
    • Property Value: comma-delimited-list-of-locales-that-should-be-displayed-right-to-left

After you modify the advanced properties for the SAS Stored Process web application in the Configuration Manager, you must stop the web application server, restart SAS® Remote Services, and then start the web application server.
